When the wind picks up and you start thinking about big boosts and real megaloops, you need a kite you can trust 100%. The Orbit, North’s iconic 5-strut kite, offers incredible control at the top end and lets you carry more canopy per square meter than many other kites. Huge jumps, endless hangtime, impressive wind range. It climbs upwind fast, has a clean feel on the bar, and unleashes explosive boosts with hangtime that stays with you right until you land. For 2024, North has softened the leading edge profile with a continuous curved arc, slightly narrower at the shoulders and wider toward the wingtips.

It’s fast. The wingtips now feature a more bi-elliptical shape to reduce drag and increase rotation speed, while the slightly deeper profile in the central section generates more lift. This update has also led to a completely redesigned bridle and new attachment point placement, resulting in the most stable Orbit yet. Even when you’re fully loaded or the wind is choppy, the kite remains solid, predictable, and supports you without sacrificing that ability to fly forward and catch you at the right moment in loops.
